- Rivers govt to close all borders from Thursday over Coronavirus.

Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike says from 6pm Thursday, all routes into Rivers State will be closed to traffic.
Governor, Nyesom Wike gave the order during another statewide broadcast to announce further precautions being taken to prevent an outbreak of Coronavirus in Rivers State.
Affected by this latest restriction are the airports, seaports and roadways into the state.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has also announced that there is a corona virus case in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The governor said no passenger will be allowed into the state from the airport and no vehicle will be allowed to enter or go out of the state and that security agencies have been mandated to enforce the directive.
Governor Wike said the new measures would remain in place until further notice.
Over 20,000 cases of coronavirus has been recorded round the globe.
